Breast Cancer awareness Month!

Its that time of year again where we support our sisters who suffered from cancer. An added bonus is the tons of great products supporting! Ill make a special page to put all the cancer related stuff, so you don't have to look to find it, as well as blog posts.

First, Kræftens Bekæmpelse is having "Lyserød Lørdag" (Pink Saturday) on October 6th. Make sure to check your local newspaper for events! 

Kræftens Bekæmpelse was founded in 1928, but got roots in the 1904 "Ordinary Danish Doctor Association Cancer Committee" and the related Radium foundation that gathered money so they could make radium stations for cancer patients to be treated.  KB does not only fight to treat cancer and spread awareness but is also deep in the scientific field. Since 1949 an institute for cancer research has been located in Copenhagen. The institute is considered among the worlds finest and is home to one of the largest collection of cell material in the world. It was also this institute that finally found a vaccine for cervical cancer (the one caused by virus), the so called HPV vaccine.

The black trap - how to get more color

I see many of my fellow plus sizes dress in black. All black. Not only that, but plus size brands tend to sell tons and tons of dark and loose clothes. Some only carry clothes that seem like - at least in my eyes - garbage bags. Loose, black and not flattering for anyone. My mom did it as well, and it horrified me every time she walked publicly in her black over sized shirts.

I get it. I get why black is the easy choice. Black makes you appear smaller, its a color you can hide in. Baggy clothes so no one can see your curves. But you know what? You might as well hold a big sign above your head saying "I'M FAT AND INSECURE"

Change is hard tough, so here's my two best advises on how to make your black wardrobe a little more color full :D

Colorful Bags

A bag is a great way to to add a splash of color without going to far. Its a way you can ease into using more colors in your style and key rings can add even more bling.

Jewelry

Jewelry is by far the easiest way to be more colorful. Big chunky statement necklaces also make you look slimmer and draws positive attention

Fun Fact of the Day: The first bra was two handkerchiefs tied together with ribbon

New Bag!

I got myself a new bag! I needed a bag that was a bit bigger than my medium sized one but not as big as my big bag. One with room for a cola and a book without getting lost in the deeps, and HUZZAH Neye had a sale! I found a nice bag, 399Dkr, that fits my needs perfectly.

The brand is SoNize and I think its leather. It seems like a nice sturdy handbag, with a convenient shoulder strap as well. It got two front pockets, more room for knick knacks
